Woke up early again for the breakfast buffet…. The buffet was not bad. After breakfast, we went straight to the ski locker to change into our rented ski equipments…. The ski shoes are really tight. After we changed into our ski equipment, we went to the door to meet with the others, bringing our ski board. Those ski boards are really heavy…. and walking on that ski shoes really need skill and walk like a duck…… We walk all the way up the slope to the middle of the snow area to have our little ski lesson there. Walking in the think snow is not easy, as the ski shoe will sink into the now…. After a lot of effort, we manage to reach there. We divided into 2 groups, with each group lead by a ski instructor.Β Β Instructor taught us some basic steps on how to wear and take off the ski board, how to walk / ski with the ski board etc. He also taught us 2 techniques on our to stand up again after fall down, but I never able to stand up by myself without any assistant from the instructor, no matter how hard I tried… hehee….. π
This is my wife in her ski equipment… Look professional ho? π
And This is me…. My face looks as red as my jacket π Just lazy to wear that goggle…
After the ski lesson, we tried to ski down the slope by ourselves with our tour group members too. It is really fun and exciting… I almost kick someone else backside…. hahaha…. Lucky I manage to change my direction in time. But time fly really very fast, after about 1 and 1/2 hrs, we need to go back to the resort to return all our ski equipment and get really to leave this ski resort for our next destination… This place is really fun and relaxing. We will come back again next time. π
Okie, our next destination will be Lake Toya. Our bus drove us to the top part where we could look down to the Lake Toya. The view is really magnificent. The sky and lake is so blue….. With the white snow all around.
Next is lunch time. And our lunch will be tenpenyaki….Yeah, finally I waited for this for a very long time…. hehe… But actually it does not taste as what I expect it to be…
After meal, we went for a small walk nearby. There is a view with a mountain where smoke could been seen coming out from that mountain…. Lucky it is not an active volcano. We took a group photo with that mountain in our background.
After that, our next destination is the bear range. There are quite a number of bears over there…. We bought some apples to feed those bears
See this guy waving his hand, signalling us to throw the apple down to him… hehe… Really so cute
See this guy even lay on his back doing some cute action to lure us to throw those apples to him… hahaha π
This is queen of Hokkaido, the bear mama…. π
And this is king of Hokkaido, the bear papa. Raorrrrrr…….. π
After a while, we are ready to leave the bear range. But before that we bough a stick of hot dogs and a cup of warm milk…. π Next will be the Lake Toya. And this time will be beside the lake.
After a while, we board our bus again to our traditional resort for the night, which is located beside the Lake. π This resort is really special as the room is a traditional Japan style room where we sleep on the tatami…. It is quite an experience too as it is our 1st time to sleep on tatami, but i don’t like it as I have backache the next day…. π¦ We had our 2nd Onsen here at this resort again π
We went out for a little walk around the resort since it is still early for dinner and we would like to walk along the lake.
This is our traditional resort, looking from outside
Our dinner is the buffet dinner again…… I really hate buffet dinner as there are really not many things for me to eat. And the problem of joining tour is they like to arrange all dinner to be buffet dinner at the resort restaurant……. π¦ We wear the traditional Japanese custom to our dinner. After dinner, we stay at the lobby to play the bingo game and I hit bingo and won a prize for that. The prize that I choose is a hello kitty toto bag for my wife
And this is our bed for the night π
